Valerie has been a Polestar-certified rehabilitation specialist in Pilates-based exercise since 2008. She uses Pilates to enhance her manual therapy techniques and to provide challenging exercise for her patients. Through patient education and functional exercise, Valerie’s patients learn to care for themselves independently.

Valerie received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University before earning her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 1988. For the last 20 years, she has focused her practice on orthopedic, sports and workplace injuries. At the same time, Valerie continues to educate herself on a variety of treatment techniques for the spine, shoulders, knees and ankles.

In her free time, Valerie enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, playing field hockey, running and spending time with her family.
