With over 25 years of triathlon racing experience competing in all distances—including Ironman Wisconsin, Ironman Coeur d’Alene and Ironman Canada—Garrett uses his training and racing knowledge to help treat athletes of all levels, from novice to professional.
Garrett received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and earned his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Samuel Merritt College in 2000. Currently working with the San Jose Sharks as a physical therapy consultant, Garrett has focused his practice primarily on those in need of general orthopedic and sports medicine services.
Garrett is adept at bicycle fit and running evaluations through the use of biomechanical analysis of efficiency. His diverse work experience includes working in an occupational medicine clinic, as well as assessing office workstations to create ergonomic efficiency. Garrett is also a strength and conditioning specialist certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Committed to broadening and diversifying his knowledge, Garrett’s continuing education includes deep tissue body work, muscle energy techniques and biomechanical analysis for runners and golfers.
In his free time, Garrett enjoys training for triathlons, golfing, snowboarding, trying to get his pug to run with him, and spending time with his family.
